What a blessing to have finished one week, and eager to continue as week two has arrived! The guys are still working on the bathrooms preparing them for a new coat of paint. Us ladies started out today cleaning cabins and bathrooms after the youth group that just left and preparing for the next group to arrive later in the week.

It doesn’t seem like we are doing much, however, the head of the maintenance crew told us how much we save them in labor. I was amazed when he shared that “Thanks to SOWER’s” the camp saved about $400,000 in labor. What a blessing to know that every hand coming together can make a big difference. With these savings the camp has had an opportunity to stay open, regroup and bring in many more campers each year to share the gospel.

This year Camp Westminster is joining with a local group that has been ministering to local children in trailer parks. Many of these children do not have the opportunity to attend a summer camp. It’s exciting to hear that this year many of these local children will have not only the opportunity for camp but one that shares the salvation message. Join me in praying that as these children enjoy camp and hear the message of Jesus and they experience His love and take home more then just a great camp memory.

It’s nice to know that we are helping children experience camp just by doing a small part on this trip. Look around, what is the small part God is asking you to do? What gift has God given you for the advancement of His kingdom, are you using it?
