The Rest of the Story At Cedar Canyon Camp & Retreat
What an amazing group! I was amazed of all the items this SOWER group was able to complete. I already shared about all the cookies the ladies prepared however, we did a few other items in the kitchen. We had many small groups coming to the camp over the past three weeks and we helped out in the kitchen between cookies. We helped prepare sack lunches, making sandwiches and filling the bags for two days of adventures the group enjoyed off campus. We also made a few pans of lasagna to help out with dinner one night. Not to count all the many dishes we cleaned.
I was impressed with the young staff in the kitchen and the work they completed. What a great experience to see young workers with such great work ethics. The excitement they had knowing the work they are doing is helping share the love of Jesus. Many of these youth where just out of high school and a few of the helpers were in still in high school. What a joy to my heart to see the next generation loving Jesus and doing His work.

One of the men’s projects was to replace the old sign and run electric to the new one, so it would light up to help with finding the camp on the dark road. They had a tough time with the trencher due to all the boulders that were in the way. However, after many times adjusting the equipment they made it to the bottom. The electric was run, the lights hooked up and flowers planted to bring life to the sign showing the way to the camp.
Look at all the boulders…. working on the trencher again…. The rock was the old sign.. New sign and figuring lighting Before flowers Flowers being placed in….note the mans tool for digging…… The lighted sign……Great Job!!!
I have more to share, however I will wait until later so you can enjoy the items I have shared.
