Looking forward to ~2021~

John and I will be heading out on 5 SOWER Projects in 2021!! We are very excited to have the opportunity to travel for 6 months in the up coming year. This will be the most we have done consecutively. This was our plan in 2017 when we signed up for SOWERs, however, God had different plans and were did not get on the road until 2019. Even when we headed out each year we were only able to complete two due to our house not selling and COVID-19. We are thrilled to be committing our work unto the Lord.

Wait for the Lord. Be strong and don’t lose hope. Wait for the Lord. Psalm 27:14

We adventure will begin February in Florida at Sherry White Ministries. This location is to help with Family Restoration and Women coming out of addiction. Find out more about at www.sherrywhiteministries.com

Then we head north to Alabama to Eagle Rock Boys Ranch. Eagle Rock sole purpose is to meet the enormous needs of young men who had experienced unspeakable abuse, neglect, and other extreme and impoverished conditions. Find out more at www.eaglerockboys.org.

Next to Oklahoma to another ranch called New Life Ranch. This ranches mission is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and equip believers for ministry. According to their website the accomplish this by “a unique way to experience Christ with one-of-a-kind adventures, camps, retreats, and leadership development”. Find out more at www.newliferanch.com.

Adventure number four will be in Colorido at Eagle Lake Camp. “Eagle Lake Camps inspires Christ-centered love and commitment through counselor relationships in the midst of exciting outdoor experiences.” Find out more at www.eaglelakecamps.com

Our final project will be in South Dakota. We will be heading to Canyon Wesleyan Camp. provide a place to connect with God, His creation, and each other through rest, recreation, and community.   Find out more at www.cedarcanyoncamp.com

At all these locations our jobs can consist of, John doing what he loves carpentry repairs, maintenance, plumbing or landscaping. I will be helping in the Tea House, Thrift store, kitchen help or office. The one thing all these projects have in common is their love for Jesus and a passion to share it with others. When we as SOWERs partner with these locations we help keep upkeep repairs cost down so they can focus on what is needed in their community.

How can you help? First and foremost we would love your prayers heading up to the projects and as we are on the road from the end of January to July. Second we can use your support financially. I estimated the trip to cost about $8,500 between gas, food, travel between locations and unexpected travel cost. Praying that doesn’t happen!! After the sell of our house we will have $6,000 to put towards the trip. We are trusting God that we are to complete all 5 projects and the remainder will be provided or I just over estimated. If the Lord leads you to venture with us through a financially you can send your deductible donations to our home church:

Calvary Chapel Greer, 3315 Brushy Creek Road, Greer, SC 29650.

Thanks for allowing us to share our lives with you!

Many blessings,

John and Babette

Jesus called out to them and said, “Come and follow me, and I will transform you into men who catch people for God” Mathew 4:19
