The time is going by so quickly at each location, it’s hard to believe we are on project number 3. We are working on a Christian camp that has almost 1000 acres, 40 horses, huge gym, rope courses, beautiful river running through with a swimming hole, a beautiful chapel and prayer room. Between the cabins and apartment type rooms they can house up to 800 people. They have a few awesome programs besides camp, one is giving underprivileged children in the area an opportunity to come to camp. An other is being able to have the public school use the property for science classes. Why is that awesome? It’s awesome because the children are coming on private property so the staff here have an opportunity to share Jesus. To night there will be a group of three hundred coming in…I’m looking forward to seeing the camp in action!

As for our projects here, us ladies did some painting and cleaning this past week. The guys have a huge project working under the pedestrian bridge going to the island of Patmos. They had to create scaffolding under a steel frame that was made by a previous SOWER. After the scaffolding was completed they began sanding the old paint. Of course then we had a rainy day so they had a break and did some plumbing and flooring. By the way this is Bruce and Kathy’s first SOWER project. They are a huge help and of course we learn so much about people from all over the USA while making life long friends that we can fellowship with.

As we head into the weekend and prepare for next week, we are looking forward to some hiking on the many trails here at the camp. Also, hoping to enjoy a campfire along with a beautiful sunset. Until next week….
