We are so amazed at the beauty we found on top of this mountain. It is no wonder why God chose His holy place to be on top of a mountain here on this earth. Our first weekend here settling in we ventured to the top of the highest point on the camp ground we could in the golf cart. The highest point is 9,600 elevation over looking Pikes Peak.

“What jaw-dropping, astounding power is yours! You are the mountain maker who sets them all in place.” Ps 65:6 TPT

Being from upstate New York I always remember seeing the mountains around me and always felt such peace. When we moved to Salisbury MD, and it was as flat as flat can be I enjoyed the beauty of the Ocean and the wonder of its

waves and power. But oh, when we moved to Odenton MD and took off on the weekends to the mountains, I remember always finding such peace looking at the mountain range and the vast height that seemed to reach the sky. It’s know wonder when I first was saved and heard the song “Where does My Help Come From” it touched me. Many of you, I am sure, remember this Scripture song from Psalm 121. If you do, then you know it’s not the mountain that gives me peace, it’s God who is far above the mountains and their majesty. God the one who made the heaven and the earth! The one who guides me, the one who watches over me, the one protecting me from danger both day and night! We are guarded by God Himself! We will be safe when we leave our home and safe until we return!! He will protect us now and forever! What an amazing God we have, to give us His Words of comfort in this Psalm. Yes, I still look up at the mountains and enjoy the beauty found there, however now I know why I enjoy them so much. GOD!

I know this post is a little different then usual. However, I just wanted to take the time and share God’s beauty we have found on this trip…..I will update you on camp itself next time…..Until then look around at the beauty He created around you and look up… to Him!!
